Mark Shary
With a career spanning over 20 technology start-ups, Mark has been a prolific founder, seed investor, advisor, board member, and executive. The companies he has founded or co-founded have been category creators, collectively raising over $80 million in private capital and generating more than $135 million in revenue.
His first venture, HUBLink, became the global leader in hospital systems connectivity, merging with Healthcare.com and achieving $70 million in revenue before its acquisition by Infor. Mark also founded Updox, a leading platform for telemedicine and practice communication solutions, which grew to serve 560,000 healthcare professionals and 210 million patients prior to being acquired by Evercommerce.
Mark’s extensive experience also includes serving as a NASDAQ CFO, an executive at Ernst & Young, the audit chair for a regulated investment company, and co-founding a public charity that has been running for over 28 years. Mark’s own experience is what led him to Co-found Tamarind Hill after recognizing the need for hands-on, hyper-focused capital in early-stage healthcare.
